You can check out pretty much everything here in the library (books, DVDs, etc) so long as library fines are below $10.00. There are some excecptions to check outs, which I tried to list below.

  • reserve items - this includes our textbook reserve and anatomy bones. Those get checked out for two hours and stay in the library. Keys to study rooms and things like headphones and cell phone chargers work the same way.
  • reference items - these are items, like dosage guides, the APA manual, etc. that we don't allow to leave the library since they are often needed by many people.
  • Materials from the archives and special collections
  • Magazines and journals

So to answer your question of what can you check out...books, DVDs, audiobooks, children's books, graphic novels, board games and other kits/manipulatives, technology such as phone chargers/laptops/cameras/headphones (suspended due to COVID-19), study rooms, anatomy study bones, textbooks, and more.

Let me know if you want me to check on anything for you!
