To begin, select a database you wish to work in. To do this, begin by selecting Subject Guides from the drop down menu at the top of the library homepage (marked Library Resources).

Major areas are listed alphabetically, and, based on your research topic, you may choose Sociology, Psychology, and/or general Social Sciences databases.

Most databases will allow you to limit or refine your results to only include peer reviewed journal articles.  In any EBSCOHost databases, this and other options are located on the left side of the screen.

If you are unsure if an article is from a peer reviewed source, look for these clues: dense text, little to no photographs (unless it is something like a medical diagram), not something you would read leisurely.
