Many databases provide links to citation information for an article that can be cut and pasted directly into your document. Usually the links are called Cite or Citation Tools.

These are guidelines because citations for electronic sources are not yet standardized. Information sources and tools are constantly changing so verify and make any necessary corrections before using. Pay special attention to personal names, capitalization, and dates. Always consult your style manual or with your instructor for the exact formatting and punctuation guidelines.
