I would like to ask permission from a publisher to post an audio segment onto the Walsh webpage. The form I have to fill out says "Your request to post material to a website will not be granted unless the material is password protected and a URL is provided." I do not know what this means or how to achieve this. Could you help?
I think what the publisher is trying to determine is if the segment will be posted onto the open web, where anyone can access it, or onto a website that can only be accessed by those who have a password to the site, such as ECN. If it is going to be put onto ECN, I think that the provided URL has to be for the homepage of Walsh's ECN. I hope that helps. If you need further assistance, the librarian who handles copyright permissions is Katie Hutchinson. Her email is khutchison@walsh.edu
