How to get to CINAHL:
Start at the library homepage (library.walsh.edu). In the red Search-A-Lot box, click on the Articles tab.  At the bottom of that Articles box, choose Databases A-Z.

There you will see a subdivision by subject.  Select Nursing and then select the database you need, in this case, CINAHL.

If you are off campus, you will need to enter your username and password to get into the database.

How to use CINAHL:
At the top of the database are three search boxes.  You will want to break up your search criteria into those boxes.  An example could be: pulmonary disease AND biomarkers.

If your search is yielding very few to 0 results, try some synonyms for what you are looking for.  Also, once you can find one article that really has what you are looking for, look at the search terms that the database is assigning to that article.  In many cases the wording is different than how a researcher would think.  Re-do your search with some of those new keywords to achieve better search results.

Also look further down the page and note the various limits you can add by checking the boxes.
