AVERT, an International AIDS and HIV charity, has a lot of information on AIDS and HIV in Africa, including population statistics, treatments, prevention, care, support, and more. 

The President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (or PEPFAR) would also be a good place to find out what the United States is doing to help with the AIDS crisis in Africa, including numbers of how many they are helping.
